Regional Marketing & Expert Packaging & Paper
This role is responsible for creating insights, understanding the customer's and industry's needs and is a key contributor to growing existing regional accounts and winning new business in his/her respective market/ region.
This role will provide industry expertise to regional customers and corresponding sales teams and will need to collaborate with various cross functional teams including Regional Product Manager to lead innovations that deliver added value to our customer base. Integral to the success of this role is the ability to build and maintain relationships– both with internal and external stakeholders such as professional organizations, key opinion leaders.
Collecting market intelligence
- Gather competitive intelligence for the commercial teams and assist in creating competitive assessment tools for sales.
Market Strategy
- Support global team with market segmentation
- Understand customer needs (lead VOC), provide insights, and develop new growth strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders such as the applications, commercial and global teams.
- Partner with the Product team, marketing & sales in the execution of market strategy in the region
Industry Expertise for Customer growth
- Be an expert in the Packaging & Paper market & applications through first-hand end user experience with large accounts and working with the corporate account leaders and their customers.
- Provide leadership in creating differentiated customer value propositions; develop quantified value propositions and the tools to enable the commercial team to deliver that value to the customer and new prospects.
- Act as the primary thought leader in your sector including but not limited to maintaining / updating case studies, white papers, presentations, webinars, training etc. participating in events and speaking engagements, and identifying relevant strategic partnerships.
- Support sustainability by bringing this into R&D, all marketing activities, market analysis, new product introductions and marketing material where possible.
- Coordinate expert network in the region.
Product solutions and range
- Help drive the Solenis initiatives incl. Sustainability & Digital Platforms.
- Partner for new product development opportunities (input to Innova process – NPI’s) working with global marketing, relevant Product managers and R&D teams.
- Collaborate with the relevant innovation teams and sales to drive market validation, field testing and launch of new products in the region.
- Have technical and marketing accountabilities towards innovations.
Who are we looking for:
- Provide training to salesforce to the region/cluster
- A four-year undergraduate degree is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Expertise in Paper & Packaging is highly desirable.
- Excellent internal and Customer facing communication and presentation skills
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal) are mandatory.
- Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Effective internal communication ensuring relevant information of key stakeholders
