Project – the aim you’ll have

We are a team that develops and maintains analytical solutions and data management standards for an organization operating in a multi-system, multi-domain, and multi–data source environment.

We are building a mature approach to data quality as an integral part of Data Governance so that data is reliable, comparable, and truly supports business decisions.

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst who will help us systematically improve data quality across the organization. Your main task will be to analyze datasets, define quality rules, and collaborate with business and technical teams on their implementation and monitoring. You will be the link between data, processes, and real business needs.

Position – how you’ll contribute

  • Analyze datasets in terms of data quality (completeness, consistency, correctness, timeliness, etc.).
  • Identify data quality issues and assess their impact on reporting, analytics, and business processes.
  • Define Data Quality rules (business rules, technical rules, acceptance thresholds).
  • Work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to refine data definitions and quality expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into specific data quality rules and controls.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on implementing DQ rules in tools and data pipelines and on data quality monitoring.
  • Analyze data quality control results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in designing data quality management processes within the Data Governance framework.
  • Co-create standards, documentation, and best practices in the Data Quality area.
  • Support business teams in understanding data quality issues and their consequences.

Expectations – the experience you need

  • Experience in data analysis within data warehouse, data lake, or source system environments.
  • Ability to analyze data using SQL, Python, SparkSQL, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to work with both business and technical teams.
  • Practical understanding of Data Quality topics and working with data in an organization, based on hands-on experience rather than just definitions.
  • Understanding of concepts such as Data Owner, Data Steward, data definition, and system of record/single source of truth.
  • Analytical mindset, ability to ask the right questions and get to the root causes of problems.
  • Knowledge of English (reading documentation, project collaboration).

Additional skills – the edge you have

  • Experience with Data Quality tools (e.g. Great Expectations, Ataccama, Talend DQ, Collibra DQ or similar).
  • Experience in Data Governance or metadata management projects.
  • Experience working in environments with many source systems and complex data flows.
  • Ability to document quality rules and decisions (data catalog, Confluence, knowledge repositories).
  • Knowledge of basic data lineage and data quality monitoring concepts.

Our offer – professional development, personal growth

  • Flexible employment and remote work
  • International projects with leading global clients
  • International business trips
  • Non-corporate atmosphere
  • Language classes
  • Internal & external training
  • Private healthcare and insurance
  • Multisport card
  • Well-being initiatives

What began in 1999 as the vision of two ambitious Polish developers in their final years of college, eager to build interesting business apps for international markets using emerging technologies, has blossomed into Software Mind, a global digital transformation partner. For over two decades, this Krakow-based company has been at the forefront of software development, evolving from a boutique Polish software house into a significant player with a robust presence across Europe, the US, and Latin America. This journey has been marked by organic growth, strategic external investments, and key acquisitions, including companies like ValueLogic, Code Factory, Chmurowisko, Virtualmind, and number8. These moves have not only expanded Software Mind's geographical reach but also deepened its expertise and service offerings.

Software Mind's core mission is to provide organizations worldwide with the critical expertise, resources, and product engineering necessary to drive their business forward. They empower companies with skilled software engineers and autonomous, cross-functional development teams that manage the entire software lifecycle, from the initial spark of an idea to its release and ongoing support. The company prides itself on a culture that prioritizes openness, ownership, and respect, fostering a global team that is encouraged to 'crave more, act as a true partner, and deliver meaningful value'. This people-centric approach, combined with a strong technological foundation in areas like cloud computing, AI, data science, and embedded software, allows Software Mind to accelerate digital transformations and enhance software delivery for a diverse clientele that includes scale-ups, unicorns, and large enterprise-level companies. Their path has mirrored the challenges many of their clients face – navigating new markets, cultivating deep domain knowledge, and integrating cutting-edge technologies – which uniquely positions them to guide digital accelerations and engineer software that not only impacts today but also inspires tomorrow.
