Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist with strong construction accounting knowledge and hands-on experience in Sage, Procore, and AIA billing. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of managing multiple streams of accounting work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Outsourced Accounting Tasks:
- Process AP invoices in Procore and Sage
- Post AIA invoices in Sage
- Create jobs and job contracts in Sage for both Construction and Consulting divisions
- Create and manage Change Orders in Sage
- Review and approve weekly timesheets in Sage
Special & Maintenance Projects:
- Create project invoices in Excel and Sage
Consulting Billing (A&E Departments):
- Review timesheet reports for proper task allocation by job
- Receive billing reports from A&E department heads
- Prepare draft invoices and send them for internal review
- Finalize and send invoices to clients, then post to Sage
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with:
- ✓ Sage (required)
- ✓ Procore (preferred)
- ✓ AIA billing (required)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Construction accounting experience strongly preferred
