Skyborne Airline Academy is seeking independent, professional B737 and A320 simulator and ground instructors with a current CFI certificate for its planned ATP CTP Training Program under Part 141. The training locations are in Miami and/or Orlando areas.

Skyborne Airline Academy is a worldwide leader in airline-related training and is seeking up to 10 independent Flight Simulator Instructors / Ground Instructorsto deliver ATP CTP training. Contractors provide classroom instruction and/or instruction in a B737-800 or A320 full-motion Level D simulator and/or fixed-base flight training device. This arrangement could be ideal for active airline pilots, Part 135 or Part 91 pilots seeking flexible supplemental income, retired or medically disqualified pilots who enjoy contributing to the next generation of aviators.
Scope of services may include, but not limited to:
- Delivery of instructor-led classroom and simulator/FTD instruction to Skyborne clients under its Part 141 FAA certificate, consistent with FAA standards.
- Delivery of ATP CTP curriculum conducted on B737 or A320 simulators.
- Conduct pre- and post-flight FTD/simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with FAA expectations and safety practices.
- Conduct each FTD/simulator session in accordance with aircraft manufacturer guidance and FAA recognized procedures.
- Provide instruction required for issuance of an ATP CTP Certificate of Completion.
- Complete FAA-required training records accurately and comprehensively to ensure proper regulatory compliance and continuity of training.
- Record simulator usage and discrepancies per FAA-required procedures.
- Track and maintain personal instructional qualifications and currency, ensuring the contractor remains qualified to perform contracted training.
- Must hold an FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with a fixed-wing, airplane category, multi-engine class rating.
- Must hold, or obtain prior to beginning instruction, a current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI or CFII or MEI).
- No history of accidents or license suspensions.
- Must be type-rated on the B737 aircraft or A320 aircraft. Need not be current.
- At least 2 years’ experience as pilot-in-command at an FAA Part 121, Part 135 or Part 91 air carrier or 2 years’ experience as second-in-command at a Part 121 air carrier.
- Ability to accept or decline instructional opportunities based on personal availability.
- Experience as either a current or former line check airman or simulator instructor is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to high-quality instruction and positive client experience.
- Ability to function effectively in a high-paced training environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing training needs when selecting offered sessions.
- Fluency in English.
Note: This is a non-employee, part-time contractor role. No employment benefits are provided. The contractor is responsible for managing their own business expenses, tax obligations, and professional qualifications in accordance with IRS and FAA rules.
