SixMap is a Maryland based cybersecurity company using high performance computing to automate cybersecurity. SixMap technology and capabilities significantly reduce the people-hours required to assess, operate, and defend computer networks. SixMap Computational Mapping (CM) supports Automated Network Management and Defense (ANMD) for the Enterprise. Solely from the name of any organization or network name, SixMap provides enterprise discovery, network discovery, and host discovery then generates solution playbooks for Enterprise scale networks operating in IPv4-only, dual-stack, and IPv6-only environments.
Responsibilities
- As a backend engineer, you will play a crucial role in building the systems and services that empower our users to reason about, analyze, and take action on network data at global internet scale.
- Build and evolve the services we use internally and externally to manage the full lifecycle, access, enrichment, and transformation of our collected data and user signals/input
- Integrate our software with external APIs and services to speed our users’ time to action and augment their existing workflows
- Establish and elevate the processes and tooling that drive monitoring, governance, and validation of our systems and allow us to execute with a security-focused mindset that maintains and strengthens our users' trust and confidence in usederal tax returns, provide all tax information required, and oversee relationship with tax preparers.
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one high-level programming language, with the opportunity to learn and utilize Python, Kotlin, and JVM languages.
- Experience working in distributed systems
- Expertise with API design, implementation, versioning
- Comfort working with a variety of data storage systems and approaches. Experience working with SQL for both transactional and analytical workloads
- Comfort working with best practices for cloud-native applications and services offered by major cloud providers
- Proven ability to be a self-starter, mission-focused, and thrive in ambiguity
- Strong communication skills and comfort in working in a fast-growing environment.
- Strong ownership over your domain and being able to uplift the broader engineering organization through knowledge sharing and documentation
