Job Description:-

If working with data gives you joy and getting deep into numbers is something that doesn't bother you but rather excites you, then this is a perfect opportunity for you.

The candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing our data stack and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection from cross functional teams/applications producing data. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The candidate will be working on the Simpplr’s data engineering team to support the next generation of products and data initiatives.

Experience level:-

• Upto 1-2 years

Roles and Responsibilities:-

• Maintain our data platform with timely and quality data
• Build and maintain data pipelines from internal databases supporting our SaaS application
• Flexibility in working any component of our data engineering stack
• Write maintainable, performant code
• Implement the DataOps philosophy in everything you do
• Plan and execute system expansion as needed to support the company's growth and analytic needs
• Create and maintain systems documentation
• Collaborate with other functions to ensure data needs are addressed

Skills and Capabilities:-

• Experience of using Scala/Python for data processing and data wrangling
• Experience of SQL (Advanced) and analytical data warehouses (Snowflake will be preferred)
• Experience of working in ETL/ELT stack
• Understanding of Data warehouse terminology, principles and practices

Good to have:

• Good understanding of Kafka
• knowledge of CI/CD and able to effectively use GitHub
• Knowledge of Python packages used for data processing is a plus
• Working knowledge of Airflow/Prefect will be a plus
• Constantly improve product quality, security, and performance
• Desire to continually keep up with advancements in data engineering practices
• Collaborate with team members to identify requirements, define successful outcomes, and deliver trusted results
• Catch bugs and style issues in code reviews
• Work with the mentality of shipping small features independently
