With a history stretching back over 145 years, we were founded by Gisaburo Shiono, Sr. in 1878 in Doshomachi, Osaka, the very place our headquarters remains today. From our beginnings as a drug wholesaler, we have grown into a major, research-driven pharmaceutical company, driven by a profound dedication to patient care.
