Overview:
SageSure is looking for a talented, motivated, confident, and committed Catastrophe Claims Manager with deep technical knowledge of property claims. An experienced candidate must possess the knowledge and skill to deliver effective communication, decision making, customer service, relationship building, and expense management in property claims handling. As SageSure’s Claims team grows, you’ll be a key part of ensuring we scale with quality and build a sustainable business model for the future. What you’d be doing:
- Leading a team of both internal and external Claims Examiners that handle all levels of personal lines property catastrophe losses and limited commercial lines property catastrophe losses
- Performance management, administration, training and development, and coaching
- Assigning claims to outside vendors and managing performance
- Ensure claims within the unit meet or exceed quality and regulatory requirements
- Effectively participate with the management team in employee recruitment to ensure appropriate staffing
- Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of major estimating and data analytics platforms
- Advanced knowledge of construction and repair methodologies
- Required licensing, as needed
- Ability to travel as necessary
Highly preferred candidates also have:
- Staff and vendor management experience
- Professional designations
