Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Director, Claims Optimization. This role drives the foundation of how our teams execute best in class claims experiences, by ensuring we have proper documentation for adjusting all types of property claims, changing as needed to be on the cutting edge, and providing training and development. This role will lead of team of leaders to execute across these functions.

What you’d be doing:

Program Leadership

  • Provide leadership and direction to the program owners within department for all process work.
  • Drive accountability for proper documentation of processes and ownership of strategy and roadmap delivery
  • Own and coordinate the roadmap for end-to-end process development, maintenance, and performance.
  • Identify, scope, and execute the processes (both strategic and tactical) in support of the claims program roadmap.
  • Coordinate and manage top impact processes in conjunction with senior executive level objectives
  • Assist in managing the overall intake and capacity management of program related work

CollaborativePartnership

  • Front door and conduit for program requests to optimization. Ensures work is taken in and assigned appropriately. Conducts or directs necessary follow-ups with other departments.
  • Manage the alignment of the process program as it relates with other claims programs to ensure strong partnerships between claims optimization, quality, and operations organizations.
  • Plan and lead communication methods necessary to ensure awareness across the organization as it relates to the claims processes program delivery and maintenance timelines
  • Leverage insights and knowledge within frontline claims optimization, quality, and operations organizational people and processes to deliver the highest level of value delivery possible.

People Leadership

  • Provides guidance and leadership to team of program managers, leading a diverse set of process/programs
  • Ensuring team understands and contributes to the SageSure and claims level strategy
  • Recruiting, hiring and maintaining talent to ensure we have the right people in the right roles

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years claims experience including time working in or partnering with property claims and business process departments
  • 3+ years claims staff/support experience with a property claims department
  • 3+ years experience fostering and working with key vendor partnerships
  • Proven ability to provide process requirements to operational partners with clearly defined outcomes and expected measures for success
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business items clearly and succinctly, both written and verbally
  • Proven ability to work effectively across technical and business-oriented stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead department-wide efforts with limited oversight
  • Excellent ability to coordinate people, with high energy and a sense of urgency

Highly preferred candidates also have:

  • Insurance related certifications
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience as a claims process designer or owner
  • Experience working with project organization tools such as Confluence, Jira, SmartSheet, or similar
