The Opportunity
We are growing the runZero Engineering team and are looking for a Sr. Front-End Software Engineer (Vue.js) to join us in developing the runZero product. Our engineers work together to deliver an outstanding customer experience by writing code, troubleshooting issues, listening, learning, and cheering each other on. You will be working as part of a team focused on building and supporting a state-of-the-art asset and network discovery platform.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain high-quality, performant web applications using Vue.js and related technologies
- Collaborate closely with product management, design, frontend and backend engineers to understand customer needs and translate them into product features
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the front-end application
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products, technology, and practices with a pride of ownership
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development
- Have an opinion, play well with others, work hard, and enjoy being a core member of a growing startup!
Skills You Have
- Deep knowledge of Vue.js (preferred) and/or AngularJS/React practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
- Experience creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
- Solid understanding of the HTTP protocol and the web browser security model
- Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects
- Solid understanding of RESTful API patterns for front-end integration
- Knowledge of CLI tools (Yarn, Webpack, NPM, etc.)
- Proficiency with standard development tools and paradigms (Git, GitHub, CI/CD, etc.)
- Ability to quickly translate Figma design artifacts into responsive and semantic HTML and CSS/SCSS
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills
- Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Skills You Might Have
- Knowledge of Vue.js core principles, such as Vue Router, Vue CLI, etc.
- Experience with Vue.js state management (e.g., Pinia, Vuex, etc.)
- Experience with design systems, including implementing design tokens and component composition techniques
- Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer and other web services used in the system
- Familiarity with SQL queries and working with relational databases
- Experience with web accessibility principles
- Familiarity with network design, security, and scanning can be helpful but is in no way required to be successful
Salary Range
runZero values transparency in the hiring process. According to our market data, we’re expecting this role to come in at a salary of about $150k - $ 170k plus stock options. We know that the talent market is always in flux, so please let us know if you believe we have advertised this role in the wrong salary band.
