The following position is to join RTX Enterprise Services - Data (ES-Data) Team:

RTX Enterprise Services Data group has an opening for a Senior Technical Project Manager – Programs and Platform Delivery (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) to support Raytheon’s focus on Digital Thread and Data Strategy as part of its enterprise-wide Digital Transformation initiative.

Collaborate with colleagues across the Enterprise Services – Data group and RTX businesses to:

  • Help shape and define RTX’s data strategy.
  • Ensure the successful rollout of XETA AI.
  • Partner with Enterprise Services (ES) and Business Unit (BU) teams to drive engagement and adoption of Enterprise Services – Data products.

The Senior Technical Project Manager – Delivery is responsible for leading XETA AI scrum teams, applying agile methodologies and scrum best practices to ensure efficient execution. This role involves close collaboration with Technical Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Engineers, and Product Owners to optimizeES – Data product delivery.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will drive the development and deployment of XETA AI products across the enterprise. Success in this role requires strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills to facilitate progress and decision-making across multiple teams within and outside the ES – Data organization.Achieving success in this position demands diplomacy, disciplined execution, and effective coordination across cross-functional teams and disciplines.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the scrum team(s) in using agile methodologies and scrum practices
  • Collaborate with the product owner and engineering teams to achieve XETA AI deliverables
  • Remove impediments and escalate blockers early to senior leaders
  • Be an influencing force with the scrum team in or to achieve higher levels of scrum maturity with an emphasis on definition of done and acceptance criteria
  • Support the product owner and technical leads in delivery invaluable insights when needed
  • Work with the product owner / manager to help shape and provide input on XETA AI product roadmap
  • Partner with Enterprise Service- Data Agile Coach to ensure teams are adopting agile best practices, train, and coach teams in agile development methodologies
  • Ensure teams are delivering projects and products using the appropriate agile/ scrum methodologies
  • Ensure best practices and projects are appropriately documented and updated in Confluence
  • Review Jira for individual and aggregate team metrics, and be a passionate advocate for agile best practices across all teams
  • Help move Enterprise Service - Data forward on our agile maturity journey
  • Travel: up to 5% domestically

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience around development and deployment of AI products and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 8+ years’ related work experience.
  • Ability to survey the environment and prioritize the most important or highest value tasks
  • Experience managing complex, large scale, IT/technical/engineering initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of software development/engineering lifecycle from conception to delivery.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualification We Prefer:

  • Experience working in a data driven organization where data is utilized as a strategic asset.
  • Understanding of large-scale application architecture and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS platforms, Kubernetes, and AI technologies.
  • Experience leading teams through digital transformation leveraging Agile development methodologies.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
