DoD Clearance: SecretThe Service Engineering Manager will provide application of scientific principles to innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. This position will ensure novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applicable IP processes and tools. In addition, they will act as the customer and field service interface. Drive improvements based on end user experience. Perform corrective actions for field issues, special investigations, and product testing.
The Service Engineering Manager will oversee a team of Service Engineers primarily located at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma and will be responsible to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, installation, and other sustainment activities are carried out successfully on the Military Avionics Systems, primarily KC-135. The Service Engineering Manager will interface with Program Management, Engineering teams, and external customers to facilitate swift resolution to system problems. The Service Engineering Manager may be required to brief Senior Leadership on critical issues.
This is a fully onsite position and will sit at the Collins Aerospace satellite office near Tinker AFB, OK.
This role is eligible for relocation.
Role may entail up to 25% travel.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Coordinates, prioritizes and resolves complex issues encountered by a more experienced team/multiple teams.
Reviews escalated issues that will impact the business and provide recommendations for solutions.
Possesses strong technical/product knowledge to provide guidance to the team.
Contacts key customers and service engineers to ensure corrective actions are taken for complex field issues, special investigations, and product testing.
Handles key customer feedback responsibly, carries out the customer satisfaction investigations, and establishes the corresponding improvement plans.
Coaches team members and field engineers.
Establishes and maintains training and audit for assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
Must be able to meet travel requirements which may entail up to 25% travel.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Must have prior experience in service engineering or aviation maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Extensive experience supporting sustainment activities on the KC-135 aircraft.
Demonstrate ability to effectively network internally and externally on issues pertaining to KC-135 Avionics Systems.
Experience working with bid proposal systems.
Experience working as a Cost Account Manager.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
