As a Senior Supply Chain Material Program Manager Precision Navigation, you’re a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving program objectives in a matrix environment and able to successfully interface with functional and program leadership. In short, you’re able to lead and influence without direct reporting relationships. This role is in support of the Precision Navigation Portfolio. The individual will be responsible for managing a team of primarily intermediate Material Program Managers.

In this highly visible role, you’re a member of the Operations& Supply Chain Product Line, and as the Supply Chain interfaces to multiple programs, you’re the liaison between Supply Chain and the Integrated Product Team. This position will involve Program specific and general procurements and focus heavily on supplier sourcing and strategies. This is a lead contributor role who will be able to exert influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team. This role will be the primary point of contact the Precision Navigation leadership team which includes the Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts.

What You Will Do

  • Accountability for the supplier management process
  • Involvement with daily supply chain activities associated with each of the programs, including financial reporting and analysis
  • Developing and executing material product strategies
  • Achieving product material budget objectives
  • Managing product purchase / subcontract requirements
  • Creating and tracking key product area performance metrics
  • Supporting monthly program and IPT Reviews
  • Lead a team of primarily intermediate Material Program Managers
  • Spearheading Risk & Opportunities identification and mitigation / capture efforts
  • Involvement with supplier management efforts associated with suppliers critical to program success.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • Experience with budget management, finance, and/or Earned Value Management System
  • Experience leading a team of professionals

  • Experience with Supply Chain strategies, processes, and procedures
  • Program or Project management experience
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills
  • Effective leadership and communication skills with proven ability to interact at all levels of Management
  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely, effective manner including exercising judgement in complex or ambiguous scenarios
  • Earned Value Management Certification
  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience with MRP systems and / or tools
  • Experience working with Risk and Opportunity Management

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
