The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:

The Human Resources (HRLDP) and Global Communications (GCLDP) Program Manager role has overall responsibility for leading the HRLDP and GCLDP. The role leads annual recruiting activities, manages rotation assignments and schedules, plans onboarding and training events, and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure the programs are continuously attracting and developing future leaders.

LDP stands for Leadership Development Programs; RTX offers entry-level rotational LDP roles in the areas of Business Development, Communications, Contracts, Digital, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Finance, Human Resources, Operations & Supply Chain, and Security. These 2 or 3 year programs are designed to provide challenging opportunities within the context of short-term work assignments.

Participants will rotate through a diverse set of assignments, participate in functional and leadership training to accelerate development, work on cross functional Impact Projects, and can expect support along the way from functional leaders, assignment managers and their LDP Program Manager as they grow towards becoming future leaders.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the GCLDP and HRLDP encompassing up to 30 participants in cross-business unit assignments.
  • Effectively manage and execute processes, including talent acquisition, training, development, performance management, salary planning, coordination of rotations, and off-placement upon program completion.
  • Drive recruiting activities through partnerships developed with the RTX Talent team and focus schools.
  • Plan and participate in interview processes, including video interview screening, virtual and in-person events (Super Days).
  • Maintain positive and current relationships with partner universities including consistently seeking new avenues to reach all students.
  • Drive RTX diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives with recruiting and retention strategies.
  • Monitor the quality of rotations through proactive communication with LDP associates and assignment managers.
  • Conduct collaborative coaching conversations with assignment managers and LDP associates.
  • Plan, lead, and oversee functional training sessions. This includes developing learning modules, involving functional leaders and alumni in learning and events, and evaluating the impact of the learning. Continually evolve the learning to align to and meet critical business needs.
  • Market and socialize the programs, opportunities, and success metrics to functional leadership.
  • Analyze the success of the programs on an ongoing basis and propose strategies for improvement in the areas of rotation assignments, assignment candidate matching, and off-placement.
  • Objectively assess and bring employee relations issues to resolution.
  • Provide leadership to LDP-led Enhancement Teams.
  • Co-Lead LDP Impact Projects, the action learning component of the LDP.
  • Manage program budget, including forecasting and reporting on spend

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources, or other related degree and 12 years of experience
  • Previous experience in a Program or Project Management role
  • Experience leading training and development initiatives
  • Prior experience interfacing and influencing senior leaders
  • Previous experience analyzing, measuring, and evaluating program impacts

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Creative problem-solving skills, strong business acumen, organizational savvy, communication, integrity, and the demonstrated ability to employ sound judgment in complex and confidential situations.
  • Passion for the development in entry-level talent
  • Prior experience working within the RTX Human Resources or Global Communications organization
  • Prior experience/involvement with the Leadership Development Programs as a participant, supervisor, or mentor

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
