About Rocky Talkie

Learn more about Rocky Talkie and their company culture.

View company profile

At the heart of Rocky Talkie is a culture forged in the rugged landscapes of the American West. Founded in 2019 by longtime friends and climbing partners Bryce Jones and Alex Page, the company was born from a shared frustration with the unreliability of existing backcountry communication tools. During their adventures in Moab and on the towering walls of Castleton Tower, they realized that a failure in communication could mean the difference between a successful ascent and a dangerous situation. Driven by this experience, they set out to create a radio that was not just a piece of gear, but a dependable partner for every adventurer.

Rocky Talkie is more than just a hardware company; it is a community of outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to safety and exploration. The team embodies the spirit of the mountains, valuing durability, simplicity, and trust above all else. This commitment extends beyond their products to their impact on the outdoor world. With a pledge to donate $2 from every radio sold to Search and Rescue teams, Rocky Talkie actively supports the volunteer heroes who keep adventurers safe. Their culture celebrates pushing limits while ensuring that everyone makes it home, fostering a deep connection between their team, their users, and the wild places they love.
