Rockstar is recruiting for a company dedicated to revolutionizing school scheduling. This client is committed to saving time and resources for schools by providing an AI-optimized scheduling platform. Their team consists of former educators who understand the intricacies of school scheduling and are passionate about aligning schedules with educational priorities.

Who They Are

The company was founded to create a tool that addresses the needs of school-based employees involved in scheduling and central office employees who require visibility into these schedules. With a significant portion of district budgets dedicated to personnel, the development of a school schedule is crucial for strategic resource allocation, access to courses, and support for sub-groups. The platform is designed to save time and resources, allowing district and charter leaders to build schedules that align with their vision.

About the Role

The School Success Manager will be at the forefront of the mission to help schools create more effective, equitable, efficient, and innovative schedules. This role involves working directly with school partners, guiding them through the scheduling process, and ensuring they maximize the benefits of the platform and support model.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of schools: Manage a portfolio of district and charter school partners through the customer journey.
  • Provide end-to-end support: Finalize schedules by solving complex constraints and unique school needs.
  • Develop strategic relationships: Engage with key stakeholders including lead schedulers, principals, district leaders, and scheduling teams.
  • Track success metrics: Ensure high levels of satisfaction and renewal rates for each partner.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner: Align schedules with the unique priorities of district and school-based teams.
  • Lead implementations: Drive the end-to-end implementation process for each partner across a portfolio of schools.
  • Lead onboarding and training: Facilitate onboarding and training for new and returning partners.
  • Support data integration: Collaborate with partners’ IT teams and the data integration team, managing aspects of the data transfer process.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues: Act as the external representative with support from the product engineering team.
  • Communicate cross-functionally: Share customer feedback and insights with sales marketing and product engineering teams.
  • Support sales and operations: Contribute to sales efforts in the scheduling “off-season” and assist in various operational tasks.
  • Be part of the brain trust: Work with leaders across functional areas to make and implement major decisions for the future.

Candidate Qualifications

The role requires someone with:

  • Meaningful experience developing middle and/or high school schedules.
  • Willingness to work in a scrappy environment.

Additional experiences that would be a plus:

  • Customer success or related experience – experience building systems/processes and delivering support to people and teams.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment.

Who They Are Looking For

  • An experienced scheduler: At least 3 years of experience building and owning a middle and/or high school schedule.
  • A “school person”: At least 5 years of experience working inside a school, understanding its operations and culture.
  • Detail-oriented: Meticulously reviews schedules, slides, and related documents with critical attention to detail.
  • Strategic: Can take in many different signals, cut through the noise, and deliver for district/CMO and school partners.
  • Efficient: Excited to build an impactful product in a lean environment, handling multiple priorities, tasks, and requests simultaneously.
  • Collaborative: Experience working across cross-functional teams and comfortable with constant collaboration.
  • Passionate about schools: Driven to improve school operations and help them use resources to best serve students.

Benefits Offered

  • Health: Medical, dental, vision, and a contribution-only 401(k) plan.
  • Personal growth: Many professional development opportunities as the company grows and evolves.
