Our client is a venture-funded, Series A startup experiencing explosive growth, backed by leading cybersecurity VC firms. Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Sales Development Associate (SDA) eager to build their career at an exciting and innovative market leader. This is a remote position and a key hire for the Sales Development organization. The ideal candidate understands how to create leverage for a team by doing high-quality work that improves focus, execution, and outcomes.

This role reports directly to the Director of Sales Development and partners closely with SDRs, AEs, Marketing, and RevOps.

The ideal candidate learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented environment. This position requires 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in sales, sales operations, lead research, customer research, or a similar role where accuracy, consistency, and judgment matter. The candidate should be surgical with details, strong at research and critical thinking, and comfortable working through ambiguous inputs to produce clean, usable outputs. They take pride in bringing order, structure, and process where it can help drive rigor and generate stronger outcomes.

The Opportunity

  • Own inbound lead handling workflows, including reviewing inbound leads for ICP fit, validating account and contact data, and routing to the appropriate SDR or AE based on territory, segment, and process rules.
  • Support Sales Development leadership in departmental projects impacting Revenue’s Top-Of-Funnel.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where you can make a significant impact by creating leverage for the sales team.
  • Own ICP list generation and filtration, including building targeted account lists for SDRs and AEs based on defined criteria.
  • Research breach reports and public sources to identify impacted companies, determine whether they match ICP, and capture relevant context for outreach prioritization.
  • Process event and webinar attendee lists to identify ICP accounts, validate contacts, and prepare clean, enriched exports for sales motion.
  • Perform data enrichment and normalization work across accounts and contacts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and usability.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and routing readiness by reviewing records and ensuring required fields, labels, next steps, stages, and dispositions are applied consistently.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve the quality of inputs, process consistency, and data reliability.
  • Develop repeatable workflows and light process improvements that increase speed and accuracy across list building, research, and CRM updates.
  • Grow into the SDR role by learning ICP, account prioritization, sales process, and how clean data drives pipeline.

What Success Looks Like

  • The candidate consistently delivers high-quality, accurate ICP lists that enable SDRs and AEs to execute efficiently.
  • They can take messy inputs (breach reports, event lists, inconsistent CRM data) and turn them into clean, actionable outputs.
  • CRM data stays trustworthy because they maintain strong hygiene, correct categorization, and clear next steps across accounts, contacts, and opportunities.
  • SDRs and AEs spend more time selling because the candidate removes the manual research and data cleanup burden from their day-to-day.
  • They become a go-to partner for research, list quality, and operational consistency.
  • They demonstrate readiness for the next step, whether that is SDR, sales ops, marketing ops, or another growth path, by showing strong judgment, ownership, and execution.

About You

  • Organized, detail-oriented with incredible follow through. You are highly accountable, positive and fun to work with.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable with ambiguity, willing to roll up your sleeves and figure things out.
  • Ability to not only balance, but effectively manage competing priorities, and multiple projects/deals at the same time.
  • Extremely well-organized, quick-learner, self-directed, highly energetic, professional and flexible. Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced team environment. Sense of humor.
  • Precise attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background in organized sports/experience working in a small team environment is a plus.

- College degree or equivalent required.
