Right At School provides safe, engaging, and meaningful in-school and extracurricular
programs to enrich the lives of students, give parents peace of mind, and enable schools to
focus on their academic mission. We partner with school districts to deliver a wide range of
programs on-site at their schools, including After School, Before School, Summer Camp, Break
Camps, PreK, and Electives. With the support of our growing marketing team, we’ve grown at
an exciting rate, now serving 53,000+ students across the country!
About the Role:
One of Right At School’s core values is to be “locally-inspired,” and that means we thoughtfully
tailor our programs, as well as marketing and communications, to the unique needs of our local
communities. That’s why we are seeking an energetic and creative Community Marketing
Manager to join our growing marketing organization. This role will serve as the vital link
between our national marketing strategies and on-the-ground marketing efforts. The Community
Marketing Manager will partner closely with our community-based leaders to develop
customized marketing plans designed to boost customer enrollment and retention. The ideal
candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, a knack for creative problem solving, a
service-oriented work ethic, and a desire to make a positive impact on kids, parents, and
communities.
As the Community Marketing Manager, you will:
- Build close, productive relationships with 14+ Senior Area Managers, meeting monthly to
discuss marketing opportunities in their regions.
- Develop and implement localized marketing strategies to drive enrollments in RAS
school districts across the country.
- Develop a “community marketing menu” with go-to strategies and templates to
streamline our response to common requests (for example, a menu of various
promotions we can run to boost enrollments in a district, complete with marketing
templates for each type of promotion).
- Collaborate with the Event Marketing team to develop a tiered model for local consumer
marketing events, complete with ready-to-order event kits (ranging from ice cream
socials to large, RAS-hosted community events).
- Manage the creation of “community marketing kits,” coordinating with our supplier to
print, kit, and ship marketing materials to community leaders.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing Team colleagues – project managers, strategists,
writers, designers, automation specialists, and analysts – to bring your marketing plans
to life.
- Manage incoming marketing requests from our community leaders, replying to all
inquiries in a timely manner, and consulting with requestors to fully understand their
unique needs.
- Write copy for unique communications, email templates, printed collateral, local
advertising, etc.
- Create detailed “Community Marketing Playbooks” for all national enrollment campaigns,
equipping community leaders with best practice marketing tactics, event guidance, and
direct links to resources.
- Participate in team workshops, helping to shape our national consumer marketing and
brand strategies.
- Manage consumer-facing social media accounts, posting local program spotlights and
responding to comments/messages in a timely manner.
Requirements
What We’d Like You to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in community-focused marketing or promotions; examples
include community engagement positions within education/childcare, sports,
government, or nonprofit organizations, retail or consumer packaged goods companies,
or any franchise model-based business.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Being an active listener is a must.
- Experience collaborating “up and across” an organization, working with colleagues and
