We founded Restream in 2015 in Vinnytsia, Ukraine, with a simple yet powerful mission: to help creators be seen and heard. We saw a future where live video wasn't just for a select few but for everyone with a story to share. The core idea was to help creators reach a wider audience, and from that, we invented multistreaming. Our journey started small, with our founders, Alex K., Andrew S., and Alex B., managing everything from development to round-the-clock live chat support using tools like Intercom and Google Translate. We remember the thrill of earning our first $15 after adding a donation button to our home screen—it was a moment of pure gratitude and validation. We knew we were onto something when, just a few months after launch, the iconic music platform Boiler Room used our MVP to broadcast their event. That was a huge moment for us, confirming that our passion for connecting creators with audiences was a shared one.

Since those early days, we've grown beyond what we could have imagined, now empowering over 8 million people to share their stories live. Our platform has been used for incredible moments, from President-elect Joe Biden addressing the nation to the World Health Organization keeping the world informed during the global pandemic. We even powered The One World at Home concert, which raised $55 million for COVID-19 relief. Our product suite has evolved significantly. We developed our web-based Restream Studio to make high-quality live video creation easy and accessible to everyone, directly from a browser. We invented Scheduler (now Upload & Stream) to allow creators to broadcast pre-recorded videos live, and our cross-platform chat tool unifies audience comments from every platform into a single, manageable feed.
