Restore Hyper Wellness began its journey in 2015 in Austin, Texas, born from a personal experience. Co-founder Steve Welch, while training for a triathlon, discovered the benefits of Cryotherapy for recovery. However, he felt the customer experience in existing facilities was lacking. This sparked the idea to create a more welcoming and engaging environment for individuals seeking to optimize their health and performance. The first studio in Austin quickly gained traction, proving the demand for accessible and innovative wellness solutions.

The initial success propelled Restore into the world of franchising by 2017, with new locations opening beyond Texas into states like Virginia and Connecticut. This expansion marked a significant step in their mission to make proactive wellness more mainstream. By 2021, Restore had grown to over 115 locations and secured a strategic investment from General Atlantic, a testament to its disruptive model and growth potential in the burgeoning wellness industry. The company continued its rapid expansion, reaching over 225 studios across more than 40 states by early 2024. Restore's core philosophy revolves around 'Hyper Wellness®,' an approach that integrates a variety of science-backed therapies under one roof.
