Ampact, formerly known as Reading & Math, Inc., is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing complex social issues through the power of national service. Founded in 2003 with the launch of its flagship program, Reading Corps, the organization has since grown to become one of the largest AmeriCorps grantees in the nation. Ampact specializes in the development and scaling of evidence-based programs that deliver measurable impact in communities across the United States. The organization's core mission is to transform lives by engaging individuals in service experiences that foster personal growth, fulfillment, and a lifelong commitment to civic engagement. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ampact's programs operate in numerous states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Mississippi, New York, Virginia, and Wisconsin, and it provides technical support to partner programs nationwide.

Ampact's portfolio of programs is concentrated in two primary focus areas: education and healthy futures. The education programs, which include the nationally recognized Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps, are high-dosage tutoring initiatives designed to help students from PreK through 8th grade achieve proficiency in essential academic skills. These programs are built on a foundation of scientific research and data-driven practices, with rigorous third-party evaluations demonstrating their effectiveness in accelerating student learning. In the realm of healthy futures, Ampact has expanded its reach to tackle critical community needs such as substance use disorder, housing insecurity, and public health challenges through programs like Recovery Corps, Heading Home Corps, and Public Health Corps. By recruiting, training, and supporting over 3,700 AmeriCorps members annually, Ampact and its partners provide vital capacity to schools and nonprofit organizations, making a significant collective impact on the communities they serve.
