As a Team Leader in the direct supply department, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of hotel acquisition managers and revenue optimisation managers to expand our hotel inventory and optimize revenue streams. You will be responsible for overseeing the contracting process, negotiating agreements, and managing relationships with hotel partners to ensure the growth and profitability of our business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    Lead and manage a team of acquisition managers and revenue optimisation managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success. Set clear goals, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular performance evaluations to drive team performance and development.
  • Contracting Strategy
    Develop and implement a comprehensive contracting strategy to expand our hotel inventory in key international destinations in line with the overarching Direct Supply strategy. Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for partnership development, negotiate favourable terms, and onboard hotels that align with our company's standards and objectives.
  • Revenue Optimization
    Work closely with revenue managers to optimize revenue streams and maximize profitability across our hotel portfolio. Analyse market trends, pricing strategies, and demand forecasts to identify revenue opportunities and implement effective pricing and inventory management strategies.
  • Partnership Management
    Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners, acting as the main point of contact for all contractual matters. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of hotel inventory into our platform and drive mutual success.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis
    Monitor the performance of contracted hotels and revenue streams, analysing booking data, customer feedback, and market trends to evaluate their effectiveness. Implement strategies to maximize occupancy, revenue, and customer satisfaction while minimizing risks and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Team Collaboration
    Foster a collaborative and cross-functional working environment, coordinating efforts with other teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to achieve shared objectives and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for team initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in the hospitality sector. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance our contracting and revenue management processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience (5 years) in hotel contracting, revenue management, or related roles within the travel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international hotel markets, contracting principles, and revenue management strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop team members.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of building and maintaining successful partnerships with hotel partners.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and revenue management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel internationally as needed.
