About Us:

Qventus is a real-time decision-making platform for hospital operations. Our mission is to simplify how healthcare operates so that hospitals and caregivers can focus on delivering the best possible care to patients. We use artificial intelligence and machine learning to create products that help nurses, doctors, and hospital staff anticipate issues and make operational decisions proactively.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an Analytics Specialist to join our Product Analytics team. You will use your background in data engineering, healthcare, and designing tools for business users to help create impactful analytics products for both our clients and internal teams.

This is a unique hybrid role that involves both hands-on coding as well as analytical design work (e.g. “Here’s a feature we need to add to this dashboard. Propose where it should go, how it should be visualized, and how it should be calculated.”) An intuition for simplicity is key.

You’ll work closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to illuminate both the operational opportunities in our client hospitals as well as the entire impact chain of our product, from the performance of our algorithms through nudges and recommendations made to hospital staff, to the actions they take and the operational impact they have.

The most important thing to the role will be your ability to balance speed with reliability. It will require you to:

  • Fluency with SQL and comfort working with complex interrelated datasets

  • Familiarity with EHR data and how hospital users interact with it

  • Design sense to make analytics as intuitive and usable as possible

  • Constant curiosity about the problems to be solved (not just the technical execution)

This is a high-impact role that will help drive innovation in our product, magnify the value of our entire solution suite, and shape our position in the market.

Location - This is a remote role. Meetings will typically occur between 9am-2pm Pacific time, but can be flexible within that window to suit your time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and scale our analytics products, including troubleshooting, supporting rollouts to new clients, designing visualizations, and developing new features

  • Support repeatable analyses that drive insights into whether our products are being used as intended and generating positive outcomes for our healthcare customers

  • Deliver client-specific analytics to support our Delivery team and client satisfaction

  • Contribute to the health of our analytics platform (e.g. deployments and documentation)

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years experience in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence

  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) data

  • Experience designing intuitive analytics tools for non-analyst users

  • Experience leveraging SQL to answer applied business analytics questions

  • Familiarity with data modeling

  • A love for the big picture and a healthy obsession with the details

  • Deep curiosity and a passion for real-world impact

It’s a Plus if You Have…

  • Experience with DBT

  • Working, hands on, knowledge of modern data warehouses (Snowflake preferred)

  • Experience with Looker and comfort with LookML

  • Advanced degree in statistics, economics, or other quantitative field
