As a key member of our leadership team, your main challenges will be:

• Develop and deliver a strategic technological vision and direction for the team;
• Manage the growing team of software engineering. Plan and carefully deploy the structure we need in advance to allow growth;
• Maintain a strong partnership and alignment with the cross-functional disciplines (Product, Design, Data, etc.) and key stakeholders;
• Participate in the company's product development strategy discussion and influence the product vision;
• Plan, implement and oversee engineering teams structure and budget;
• Integrate, expand and lead a multidisciplinary team of Senior Managers and facilitate their development;
• Constantly work to increase productivity of your teams;
• Manage complex teams and projects, shifting context quickly and contributing in different streams all over the company.

Additionally, as part of a strategic team of leaders, the position includes more responsibilities:

• Set a vision and quarterly goals for the engineering team, anticipating bottlenecks and prioritizing efforts across the company;
• Build and adjust team structure to meet the company’s goals, defining the best people allocation across multiple teams;
• Lead team expansion and help with hiring processes;
• Preparing and optimizing budget;
• Build and lead implementation of career development plans for Engineering;
• Define and discuss business requirements with Product and Technology teams anticipating risks or problems..

Requirements

• Proven experience managing engineering senior leaders and teams;
• Communicates effectively with technical and non-technical teams of all levels;
• Proven track record of software development to drive and contribute with technical discussions and definitions;
• Experience in dealing with software architecture;
• Experience in structuring organization, especially building teams from the scratch or scaling fast;
• Ability to operate successfully in a rapidly changing and high growth environment;
• Fluent English, as it will be necessary in everyday life
