The Manager of Operations Web Experience performs a critical function in support of this goal and the ongoing evolution of our technology and platform strategy: driving the implementation of services that enable our operations team & care advocates to optimally support our members with the empathetic, informed service that our members deserve. Ability to “roll up your sleeves” and directly contribute to implementation and delivery, leaning in to support multiple aspects on engineering team and guide by example (architecture planning, framework selection, prototyping, validation, etc.)
Ability to guide engineering resources towards optimal models of modern software engineering, incorporating quality and time-to-market objectives pragmatically
Leadership of software engineers to guide towards next evolution of their career objectives, with consistent principles and servant leader mindset
Implementation of best-in-class web & mobile capabilities with a pragmatic balance of cutting edge vs. ‘tried-and-true' technology frameworks
Role model and influence a proactive approach to anticipating challenges for team to intentionally navigate to optimal outcomes
What you’ll do…
Work in conjunction with engineering leadership to incorporate strategic objectives and define work plans and resource mobilization models for team
Ensure effective execution by self and team to achieve delivery objectives
Provide strategic input and influence with internal and external stakeholders in the domain of healthcare and general user interactions (web, mobile, omnichannel interaction)
Mentor junior engineers in modern software engineering models that focus on contract-first development, shift-left of design and test functions, and distributed software development and release collaboration models.
Mentor engineers and stakeholders in the development and deployment constraints and patterns for scalable platform digital experiences
Establish strong working relationships within the engineering team, partnering closely to align engineering activities towards delivering optimal user experiences
About you…
8+ years working in experience web and mobile delivery for moderately-sized user population, with desktop usage models (ex: perpetual/long-runningsessions)
10+ years in software development for moderate-to-large organizations with mature information technology and software engineering practices
5+ years working in software lead role, with management and team leadership responsibilities
Experience working with contact center platforms (ex: Cisco UCCE, Five9, etc.) and associated services (CRM, fulfillment, document systems, etc.)
Deep knowledge of modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.), desktop deployment models (ex: Electron, Tauri) and low-code frameworks for business self-service of workflow development
Deep knowledge of web/mobile supporting API models (Backend-for-frontend) and push mechanisms (Websockets, HTTP Push, etc.)
Experience with various web session/authorization patterns (OAuth, JWT, PKCE, etc.)
Experience partnering with research, design and product colleagues to assess, refine, and prioritize engineering requirements.
Experience in healthcare operations and clinical support models and systems highly desired
Experience in Healthcare compliance and security/privacy control obligations highly desired

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $185,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
