Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Summary
The Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for the daily health and stability of FinCEN’s core analytics infrastructure, ensuring systems remain reliable and high-performing. You will monitor system operations, address performance issues, and carry out regular maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves supporting end-to-end analytics delivery, managing incident response, troubleshooting complex platform issues, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability, scalability, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Monitor system health and stability of analytics infrastructure
Address performance or availability issues
Carry out regular maintenance to minimize downtime
Support end-to-end analytics delivery with application and security teams
Manage incident response and troubleshoot platform issues
Requirements
Experience with AWS infrastructure (VPCs, IAM, S3, EC2)
Knowledge of Databricks/Lakehouse using Terraform (IaC)
Experience with CI/CD using GitLab
Familiarity with Databricks management and performance instrumentation
Education/Certification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred (or equivalent practical experience)
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Secret clearance is required.
