About The Position:
Job Title: Senior UX Researcher Location: Candidate must be located in Canada or the USA. Our office is located in Toronto, ON, Canada, but the role is remote/hybrid/flexible.Reports to: Head of Product Content
Position Overview:As Senior UX Researcher, you’ll be involved in all stages of the product design lifecycle — from identifying core user needs during the discovery phase to measuring impact on the user after a product is launched. You should be adept at different methods of quantitative and qualitative research, and highly skilled at synthesizing and articulating what you learn into actionable, opinionated insights and next steps.
We’re counting on you to:
- Drive and refine our research processes, implementing new ways to provide clear and actionable user insights to guide strategic decisions
- Work closely with product designers, product managers, engineers, and product content to ensure that user needs are deeply understood by everyone on the team
- Elevate the role of user research at Practice Better and mentor others on how to approach research on their projects and how to conduct high-quality research on their own
- Influence and shape product strategy with data, insights, and opinions
- Gain deep subject matter expertise on a rewarding and evolving product space, including shaping how healthcare practitioners use AI in their work
- Develop and execute mixed-method research to support product strategy and company goals
- Understand our users and potential users by identifying their motivations, needs, expectations, and goals
- Uncover areas of opportunity and identify actionable ways to improve the user experience
- Work closely with stakeholders to clearly define research problems, distilling technically complex requirements into actionable research plans
- Formulate specific, answerable, and practical questions, with the underlying desire to understand the “why" and “how”
- Apply a variety of UX research methods including surveys, competitive analysis, user interviews, card sorting, live A/B testing, and more
- Run our established beta testing process, from end to end
- Translate research findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including product designers, product managers, engineers, and C-level executives
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a UX research role
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate research findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences
- Experience with user research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, or similar
- A thirst for solving hard problems and driving impactful results
