ABOUT THE ROLE

Our products are the core of what we do and these are exciting times at Power Factors. We service multiple and diverse stakeholders and personas in the renewables industry, who often work with the same data sets but have very different workflows. Linking them together and providing a common platform for them to be successful while maximizing asset performance, lifetime and production is a key challenge for
us. Furthermore, we are currently designing and building out the next generation of the user experience/interface for the Power Factors suite of products. This is where a solid design program and user experience team comes in.

As Director of UX, you will oversee a team of UX/UI professionals across the entire product portfolio. You will need to be able to use your experience and leadership to help set a true design culture at Power Factors. You will also be responsible for navigating the various
objectives and outcomes that the Product team will be driving towards while managing expectations and deliverables across stakeholders and executives. You will report to Power Factors’ Chief Product Officer while working remotely from your home in Canada or USA.

  • UX strategy that delivers a cohesive customer experience where consistency is valued by customers and differentiation where offerings require unique experiences to win in the market.
  • Build a world-class design culture where the best, brightest and hungriest product designers want to join, learn, and do their best work.
  • Vision and conceptualization for how design will differentiate us from the competition. Collaborate with Product Management and Product Marketing on market and customer research collection and utilization in development as well as ensuring product launches go well and are
    clearly aligned with customer needs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Has led UX teams to deliver great products and services and partnered with leaders of other functions including across product management, product operations, product marketing, data science and engineering.
  • The successful candidate has experience leading leaders of leaders.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS product development and the ability to effectively collaborate.
  • Understands and is familiar with modern practices regarding user research and human-centered design.
  • Proven ability to create a compelling strategy and story and translate it into execution that delivers results within budget.
  • Ability to develop, inspire and align teams located across the globe including cross-functional teams.
  • Shared accountability for experience and go-to-market outcomes, including usage metrics and retention
