The software QA team is looking for a Manual Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team of bug busters! Do you love finding problems before anyone else? Are you a master of the "try, try again" approach? Join us and help us make our products bug-free (or at least as close as possible)! The Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer will develop and execute test cases. Execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions.Roles and Responsibilities
- Pro-actively drive QA responsibilities from a given squad with minimal supervision.
- Drive information gathering of tickets for QA testability.
- Proficient with root cause analysis on issues.
- Able to learn new tools, technologies, workflows quickly.
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs using JIRA.
- Perform thorough regression testing on a daily basis or as required.
- Leverage Physical devices and/or cloud-based devices (or similar) for test execution.
- Work with QA Automation Engineer to provide test coverage with squads.
- Participates in test case development, test execution, defect triage and resolution.
- Proactively engages with development teams to help promote prevention of defects early in project/development lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Mobile and/or web testing
- Proficient with BDD (Behavioral Driven Development) such as cucumber (gherkin) to create use cases and/or test cases.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (JIRA, GIT)
- Experience with working in an Agile/Scrum development project
- Being experienced with working graveyard hours is a must
- Understanding the command line (shell scripting - Power shell/ BASH Shell) is a plus!
