About us

At Pomelo Care, we are redefining the healthcare journey for women and children. As the leading virtual medical practice in our field, we provide a continuous circle of support—from the first steps of family building and the complexities of pregnancy to the nuances of postpartum, pediatric, and midlife care. We aren't just a clinic; we are a multidisciplinary engine of clinicians, engineers, and problem-solvers dedicated to closing the gaps in traditional care. By leveraging a high-touch, technology-driven platform, we identify risks early and deliver deeply personalized, 24/7 virtual care. We are here to prove that better data and patient-centered care lead to better outcomes, raising the standard of care for families nationwide.

Role Description

Your North Star: Drive the zero-to-one launch of Pomelo's newest women's health offering by building a best-in-class lifecycle and retention program that inspires deep patient trust and long-term engagement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Own day-to-day execution of all lifecycle channels and the overarching retention marketing strategy for our newest venture
  • Build the 0-to-1 testing engine for retention, creating and optimizing automated messaging journeys to ensure new patients stay engaged with our expanding health offerings
  • Collaborate with Clinical and Operations teams to identify friction points and develop initiatives that increase Lifetime Value (LTV), quality of care, and patient satisfaction
  • Partner closely with the Head of Growth to ensure a seamless full-funnel experience, bridging the gap between new patient acquisition and long-term adherence
  • Synthesize data and qualitative insights from our new patient cohorts to drive fast, efficient learning and optimize the end-to-end funnel
  • Collaborate with Clinical teams to ensure all lifecycle communications reflect our evidence-based care model and build trust in these sensitive new categories

Who you are

  • 2-5 years of experience in DTC lifecycle marketing, ideally with experience in a 0-to-1 growth environment where you’ve had to build and scale channels from scratch
  • ‘Hands-on-keyboard’ expert who has owned and operated email and SMS channels at a sizable business (e.g., ~6-figure revenue) with a heavy emphasis on retention and subscription
  • A builder who thrives in ambiguity, moving quickly from idea to test while balancing brand building with short-term performance needs
  • Strong balance of ‘right brain’ and ‘left brain’ — you enjoy balancing creative ideation with data-driven decision making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive alignment across cross-functional and external partners

Bonus points if you have any of the following

  • Familiar with Braze, with experience building complex logic or multi-channel flows
  • Background in women’s health or another highly regulated category

Pomelo Care is dedicated to addressing the critical challenges in maternal and infant health by providing comprehensive, accessible, and personalized virtual medical care. Many expectant parents and newborns face a healthcare system with significant gaps, including a lack of continuous support, one-size-fits-all approaches, and insufficient attention to individual needs. These shortcomings contribute to poor health outcomes and unacceptable disparities, particularly for people of color. Our customers, which include health plans and employers, are seeking effective solutions to improve these outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and address the social determinants of health that impact their members and employees. Pomelo Care partners with them to tackle these high-priority issues by offering a data-driven, evidence-based virtual care model.

Our platform supports patients from preconception through the infant's first year, offering 24/7 access to a dedicated, multispecialty care team via text, phone, or video. This team includes doctors, midwives, nurses, dietitians, therapists, and lactation experts. We leverage data science to identify individual risk factors early and deliver proactive, personalized care plans. This approach helps manage and mitigate risks associated with pregnancy, postpartum, and infant care, including conditions like gestational diabetes and postpartum depression. By combining virtual clinical care with in-person doula services, following the acquisition of The Doula Network, we provide a holistic care experience. Our services aim to reduce avoidable costs, such as NICU admissions and emergency room utilization, while improving key health indicators like reducing preterm births and maternal mortality. We empower patients with the knowledge and support they need to navigate their health journey confidently, ensuring they receive high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to their unique circumstances, ultimately fostering healthier families.
