SAP S/4HANA ABAP Developer (Public Cloud Integration)

Role Overview
A leading professional services organization is expanding its technology consulting operations and is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud ABAP Developer and Integration Specialist.

This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and its ecosystem. You will work within a global, cross-functional team to support implementation, optimization, and ongoing operations of SAP solutions, while acting as a key liaison between technology and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance ABAP solutions within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
• Implement customizations and extensions to meet evolving business requirements
• Support system upgrades, testing cycles (including UAT), and transformation initiatives such as integrations and business changes
• Configure and maintain SAP environments to ensure system stability, performance, and reliability
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support for SAP applications and integrations
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential risks or disruptions
• Support data migration, authorization controls, and integration processes across the SAP ecosystem
• Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and project stakeholders on system enhancements and integrations
• Contribute to system audits, compliance checks, and documentation standards
• Develop and maintain technical and process documentation, including knowledge base materials
• Analyze upcoming system changes and assess downstream impacts; provide recommendations to stakeholders
• Lead root cause analysis for system issues and coordinate resolution efforts
• Participate in on-call support during deployments or critical system activities
• Assist with resource planning and coordination alongside project management teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, particularly in ABAP development and system administration
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance
• Solid understanding of database management, system integrations, and cloud environments
• Experience working with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills & Expertise

• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud architecture and ecosystem
• Experience in one or more functional domains such as Finance (FICO), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Project Systems (PS), Security, or integrations
• Familiarity with SAP technologies including ABAP, Fiori, CDS Views, OData, BAdIs, and Integration Suite
• Understanding of user access management and system security controls
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and transport management
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) are an advantage
