What you’ll do

In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, QA engineers, and product to identify test requirements, develop test plans, design test cases, and execute tests. You will leverage your technical expertise and knowledge of industry best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and drive Quality within the team. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the automation infrastructure, improve testing processes, and explore innovative testing approaches.

Your skill-set:

Must Haves:

  • Linux administration experience (Redhat, CentOs, Ubuntu or Rocky)
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation and shell scripting required
  • Functional knowledge of reading and debugging network traffic (IP, TCP and UDP)
  • In-depth knowledge of REST API testing techniques and tools (e.g. Postman, curl)
  • Experience with AWS services and cloud-based environments for testing and deployment such as EC2, VPC, S3 and IAM.
  • Previous experience in testing and deploying enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of some or all of our toolset: Jenkins, Git, Github Actions, and Jira
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with telephony systems and protocols, such as SBC and Contact Center systems, as well as VoIP protocols like SIP and RTP.
  • Proficiency in Golang or other object oriented programming language experience for test automation and scripting purposes
  • Experience with UI testing frameworks and tools for web-based applications (e.g. Selenium)
  • Experience creating and executing service tests to verify the behavior and integration of various software components.
  • Familiarity with GitHub actions for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
  • Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for testing and deployment purposes.

Within 30 days you’ll

    • Be done with all onboarding sessions related to the company, product and platform.
    • You would have your development and test setup ready and would have got all accesses and credentials acquired to begin work.
    • You would have an on boarding buddy to help you with all above tasks and you would have already got a chance to work on a small test plan and added a system test validating a story or a bug.
    • You would have started knowing your team members and started collaborating with them for your task.

Within 60 days you’ll

    • You would develop a better comfort with the product and platform and start participating in implementing improvements to the test framework.
    • You would potentially review test plans and work on additional system/service tests and validation tickets.

Within 90 days you’ll

    • You will have knowledge about different aspects of our test frameworks and would be comfortable answering questions asked by external teams.
    • Drive QA initiatives and fill testing gaps with test-automation
