The Field Operations Director, Field and Patient Access, plays a critical role on the Field Access team responsible for operational pull through of strategic FAL projects to transform the FAL capability across the Field Access functions, optimization of FAL deliverables, ensuring Field and Patient Access Team (FAL/PAC) priority alignment and enhancing team dynamics of the Field and Patient Access team. The Field Operations Director reports directly to the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

  • Leverage subject matter expertise in field and patient access processes, systems, and approach to create and empower strong FAL and PAC collaboration.

  • Work with legal & compliance to ensure adherence to Pfizer's SOPs and policies (Orange Guide, WOW, PSR & other applicable company policies) and in developing Pfizer Migraine Patient Access.

  • Provide feedback and drive change with vendor partners to improve FAL team execution and effectiveness.

  • Oversee and communicate FAL budget updates/needs to Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access to ensure timely submission of monthly & quarterly invoices, accruals, and forecast submissions and compliance with Pfizer financial guidelines.

  • With leadership from the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access to ensure alignment and communication, oversee FAL workstreams to support the development of solutions and implement national and subnational plans to address current and future challenges of the FAL Team’s effectiveness, processes, and engagement.

  • Serve as strategic thought partner and operational lead to the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access to assist with developing and implementing FAL team priorities, evaluating strategic trade off decisions, as well as identifying and solutioning potential field impacts.

  • Under the leadership of Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access, work directly (dotted line) with Director of Operations, Patient Access, to ensure cross-functional Field and Patient Access LT evolves and maintains a FAL and PAC capability “platform” (Field and Patient Access Strategy COE) that can be leveraged to expand this capability across other Pfizer brands currently in market.

  • Lead Drug Safety Unit Quality Check process related to AE and non-AE reporting according to Pfizer YRR.

  • Consult and partner with the Director, Data & Analytics on all data, reporting, and analytics related to the FAL Team to identify challenges and opportunities to further drive impact while ensuring metrics consistently align with the FAL team’s objectives and long-term overarching Field and Patient Access (FAL/PAC) strategy.

  • Engage regularly with the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access, “Control Tower”, Director, Data & Analytics, Digital, PSI, Patient Services, and Polaris teams to derive key insights to improve FAL impact and align on the overall FAL/PAC team’s strategies.

  • Lead ongoing assessment of Customer Engagement platforms, in partnership with the Director, Data & Analytics and Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access as well as the Digital, PSI, Patient Services, and Polaris teams, providing and ensuring best in class applications continuously evolve to meet the ongoing needs of the FAL team. Ensure all enhancements are aligned with overall Field and Patient Access Team’s strategy.

  • Support the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access to pull through FAL strategies and priorities ensuring fluid communication and awareness on any access related changes that may impact the FAL team.

  • Co-facilitate agenda discussions on weekly Field & Patient Access LT meetings in partnership with PAC Operations Director.

  • Inform the Director, Strategy & Operations, Field and Patient Access to all FAL program impact to ensure operational awareness and ability to carry forward and lead through any executable decisions.

  • 1:1s with Sales Enablement Leads (Migraine, IM) – mutually share FAL/PAC and Sales annual meeting schedule, Enablement Leads proactively share Sales Comms related to Access w/ FAL Ops and vice versa.

  • Coordinate w/ Sales ELs on national rollout of cross-functional initiatives (i.e. Real Connect, FAL Referral), not including marketing.

  • Manage FAL ACMA (PACS) onboarding and ongoing training.

  • Roll out Coach360 to FADs.

  • Premier – coordinate deck prep w/ S&O Connector team, coordinate w/ Sales on annual announcement of winners and teaser video.

  • Manage FAL Pi Program submission, DSU, & ongoing updates in alignment with Dir. Strategy & Operations.

  • FAL Operational Communications (not including data, marketing, PAC) in alignment with Dir. Strategy & Operations.

  • AMP – primary POC for FAL AMP Lead – meetings with AMP Lead/Mentors, review of decks, legal & compliance review of communications/decks.

  • LT Co-sponsor of Strategy & Operations FAL Connector Team in partnership with PAC Ops Dir., w/oversight from Dir., Strategy & Operations.

  • Oversight by Director, Strategy support ad hoc requests from business partners and cross-functional partners (i.e. digital/data FAL KPIs requests, field rides / listen alongs, Control Tower – initial FAL/PAC qual narrative, CCG meeting deck prep, monthly National Call content prep, National Meeting/Fast Start content prep).

  • Co-develop and maintain FAL & PAC Strategic Monthly Calendar – review monthly with LT.

  • Attend all FAL and PAC PMO meetings to support PMO sub workstreams, backup to PMO lead when lead is on PTO, inform Dir. Strategy & Operations on all PMO updates, hot topics, etc.

  • Regularly assess FAL operations to evaluate more efficient processes/ WoW (i.e. automation of requests).

  • Manage initial FAL (1) onboarding access requests & training and (2) on-going operational support for FAL access requests, digital/data/analytical tickets and issues, platform access, resources/tools, dashboards, new digital/data enhancements, business phone numbers for Workday and Polaris alerts, (Scope: MMIT, CMM, Policy Reporter, Kiteworks, FAL Claims, Pt Dispo, etc.).

  • Manage FAL ZTT alignments (manage/ensure integrity of alignments, fix misalignments, provide rosters/ZtT files for ad hoc requests).

  • Develop training decks and lead TTT with Data & Analytics FAL Connectors for all new FAL enhancements, new data/dashboard updates including owning upkeep/ management of master data training deck.

  • Manage follow-up requests raised during and post training for new enhancements/ data/ dashboard deployments.

  • FAL Polaris Operational Support (Engagement data enhancements, FAL Referral alignment issue resolution, Report view updates per FAL feedback support regular and ad hoc data pull requests in partnership with D&A Director, UAT, Hypercare, OOO Calendar Events, creation and delegation of tasks via Polaris calendar function, validate w/FADs & PADs to confirm if data capture issues/inconsistencies are one-off or widespread then share w/Dir. Data & Analytics to resolve with Claritas).

  • Participate in prioritization of FAL/PAC enhancements and oversee refinement and deployment of FAL/PAC enhancements with inform & alignment with Dir. Data & Analytics and Dir. Strategy & Operations.

  • Lead FAL Data Communications with an inform and alignment to Dir, Data & Analytics.

  • If appropriate, support Dir. Strategy & Operations and Dir, Data & Analytics on special FAL/PAC projects (i.e. with Digital/PSI, ZS, CCG, and other cross-functional teams within Pfizer).

  • Oversee and monitor outstanding ticket requests and progress towards resolution.

  • Manage FAL new hire onboarding including all scheduling, day-to-day technology set-up/access requests, training content/deck updates (excluding all FAL role-related trainings - still led by FFTs), communicating new hire names to GCET.

  • Manage live Pfizer Migraine Patient Access – Interactions with Field Teams training schedule on who from Field & Patient Access team (i.e. FAL FFT + when appropriate ad hoc PAD or PAC) will present at these trainings - align with PADs, Senior Dir. PAC Lead and Dir. Strategy & Operations.

  • Pull through FAL training scheduling and logistics w/ vendor and Dir. Strategy & Operations.

  • Primary POC for GCET related to FAL trainings.

  • Support the Director, Strategy & Operations Field and Patient Access to engage cross functional leadership at multiple levels to provide Field and Patient Access perspective.

  • Manage the FAL feedback/input process.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience.

  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience.

  • Able to lead in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to put innovation into action and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

  • Demonstrated track record of cross-collaboration and strong matrix team coordination/ leadership.

  • Able to both drive strategy and execute with speed and high quality.

  • Strong project management, time management, and coordination skills with cross functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results across a matrixed organization.

  • Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities.

  • Understands compliance risks and guardrails relating to patient access support.

  • Able to think big picture, while also being disciplined and detail-oriented.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to do both qualitative and quantitative assessments.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to access and influence various functional areas, and motivate groups to take action in a compliant manner.

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree with at least 7+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience, OR a MD with 4+ years of experience.

  • 2+ years of Pfizer HQ experience, preferred.

  • 3+ years in a promoted position and/or developmental role with demonstrated leadership of teams, preferred.
