Position Charter:As a PostgreSQL Evangelist at Percona, you will play a crucial role in promoting and enhancing the use of PostgreSQL within the broader open-source community. You will be responsible for advocating the benefits of Percona’s PostgreSQL software and services, engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences to increase adoption and awareness.

What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote Percona’s PostgreSQL solutions within the community.
- Create engaging and informative content, including blogs, webinars, and tutorials, focusing on the capabilities and advantages of PostgreSQL.
- Represent Percona at conferences, meetups, and other events, serving as a subject matter expert on PostgreSQL.
- Foster relationships with the PostgreSQL community, including developers, users, and other stakeholders.
- Provide feedback to Percona’s product and engineering teams based on community input and trends.
- Participate in online forums, social media platforms, and other digital channels to engage with the PostgreSQL community.
- Collaborate with Percona’s marketing team to align community engagement strategies with broader company goals.
- Availability during overlap hours between the Americas and EMEA, with 10%-30% expected travel based on community engagement and speaking strategy.
What You Have Done:
- Proven experience as a technical evangelist, advocate, or a similar role (prior focus on PostgreSQL is a plus)
- Strong technical background in databases and open-source technologies
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with experience in content creation and community engagement.
- Deep understanding of the open-source ecosystem and community dynamics.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible language
