In 2020, as wildfires turned skies orange across the globe, the founders of Patch recognized a critical gap in the fight against climate change. The voluntary carbon market was fragmented, opaque, and difficult for enterprises to navigate effectively. Corporations wanted to make meaningful climate commitments but lacked the tools, data, and expertise to source high-quality carbon credits with confidence.

Patch was built to solve this problem. The company combines AI-native software, proprietary market data, and embedded climate strategists to help enterprises navigate environmental markets end to end. By serving as a unified platform for carbon credit sourcing, procurement, and portfolio management, Patch enables companies to redirect hundreds of millions of dollars toward verified climate projects that genuinely remove or reduce carbon emissions. Today, the platform supports over 500 companies worldwide in executing their climate strategies, connecting them with more than 275 project developers across nature-based solutions, direct air capture, and other removal technologies.
