What you will be doing:
- Reports directly to the Senior Manager of Software Development.
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and integrity monitoring.
- Perform essential troubleshooting, bug-fixing, and participates in a mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrade of required third-party and open-source solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Platform Engineer processes, focusing on automation.
- Work closely with architecture and development teams, and executes bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities.
What our client is looking for:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in development, release processes, and server/software configuration/management.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or an equivalent public cloud platform.
- Proficiency in Python, database applications (MS SQL, MySQL), and Web Services (REST, SOAP).
- Skilled in version control (Subversion, Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, AWS Code tools, BitBucket, or GitLab).
- Familiarity with IaC principles, specifically using Terraform.
- Passion for continuous learning and leveraging AI tools for innovation and efficiency.
