Job Description:
BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Traffic Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support senior staff in delivering traffic operations, safety, and planning analyses for major transportation projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support senior staff on existing projects
- Perform analyses related to traffic operations, safety and/or planning analyses
- Document study/analyses findings and recommend solutions in coordination with senior staff
- Assist senior staff with communicating findings from analyses/studies to clients/staff including
- Preparing PowerPoint slide decks, meeting talking points
- Ability to assist senior staff answer questions if needed when presenting results
- Preparing written reports and correspondence
- Documenting meeting summaries/minutes
- Conduct available data research, planning policy and regulation research, and project background information review in order to gather project related information, identify problems and potential solutions, and evaluate potential alternatives
- Perform Quality Control Tasks
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Urban Planning or equivalent
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Proficiency with traffic engineering /transportation planning software (i.e., HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and ArcGIS)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
- Understanding in all or some of FDOT guidelines/processes (Complete Streets. Project Traffic Forecasting, Interchange Access Reports, Safety Analyses/Countermeasures)
