Technical Writer/Editor for the US Army's Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tool (EWPMT) system, responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation, working with software engineers and military subject matter experts, and adhering to Army regulations and DoD publication standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a technical writer or editor, with at least 2 years supporting a DoD software development program
- Proven ability to document complex software applications
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar XML authoring tools
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion) and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to elicit information from technical experts
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to ensuring documentation accuracy
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold a Secret security clearance
- Must be able to travel. Anticipated travel level 5%-10%
