United States onlyParsons is seeking an Electrical Engineer in training to join the civil infrastructure group to be part of a team working on projects of Roadways, Bridges, Transitways, Municipal and/or County arterial roads, side streets, multi-use pathways, parking facilities etc.
Requirements
- Be part of the electrical project team and attend project meetings
- Perform lighting calculations (AGI software knowledge desired but not mandatory)
- Experience in Roadway lighting design and Traffic Signal design, including phasing and signal timing plans in the province of Ontario, is desired but not mandatory
- Design Traffic Signal Systems to the Ontario Traffic Manual
- Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signal wiring diagrams, roadway lighting wiring diagrams, and electrical details
- Perform Voltage Drop Calculations, short circuit calculations, and arc flash analysis calculations
- Write and edit project construction specifications
- Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, perform site observations etc.
- Coordinate on-site with the electrical contractor and perform field inspections and provide professional field support as necessary during construction phases
