Summary: The Senior Program Manager plays a crucial role as a cross-functional team member in the domain of Transmission and Substation (T&S), focusing on both maintenance and construction activities. They act as a subject matter expert, facilitating collaboration across various T&S functional domains. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for driving results in execution, ensuring proper documentation, efficient notification management, data analysis, and meticulous order closeout. They collaborate with T&S regulators to set appropriate targets, communicate priorities, convey procedural changes, and understand impacts spanning all aspects of PG&E’s operations.
The successful candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of PG&E's maintenance and construction operations, exhibit strong leadership capabilities for managing cross-functional teams, oversee all aspects of program management including target setting, timelines, contract development and execution, and maintain strategic and analytical oversight. Additionally, they will effectively communicate with leadership, cultivate partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensure adherence to appropriate work planning and execution processes.
This role may necessitate occasional travel for on-site meetings and field visits, as well as flexibility in work hours to meet deadlines or support emergency operations.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $102,000.00
Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $132,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $162,000.00
Minimum Base Salary (California) $97,000.00
Mid Base Salary (California) $125,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (California) $154,000.00
Responsibilities:
- Manage targets, timelines, resources, and communication related to the Maintenance and Construction Portfolio within Transmission and Substation.
- Foster partnerships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development of multi-year compliance plans, ensuring PG&E surpasses both regulatory and contractual commitments.
- Proactively address program risks and issues through creative resolutions.
- Take responsibility for regional compliance management and escalate exceptions when necessary.
- Facilitate timely responses to all data requests as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5 years of relative experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in managing maintenance and construction activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of utility operations and work execution processes.
- Proficiency in utilizing SAP for data extraction and management.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- PMP certification and/or an MBA with a focus on quantitative disciplines (e.g., Finance), analytics, compliance, and/or quality.
- Previous experience in managing programmatic work.
- Demonstrated history of cultivating partnerships with external stakeholders for work execution.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements in the Transmission and Substation domain.
