(Senior) Product Designer - Video Creation

Your mission

We are currently looking for a highly creative and experienced Product Designer to join a new team at Oxolo to develop the future of automated video creation using the latest trends and technologies. Create a new video editing platform that allows users to produce high-quality videos with "just a click of a button”.

There is still a lot of ambiguity while we continue to define ideal user experiences and use cases, and the team is moving fast. We're looking for a designer who is comfortable with rapid change and can incorporate scrappy research into rapid design iteration. As we're building up a product organisation from scratch you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other designers in creating and refining the design principles and patterns that will be used across our product.

Your area of responsibility

• Rethink the workflow for creating videos with the help of GenAI, improving storytelling by creatively altering time and narrative.
• Design a platform focused on users that combines Generative AI with LLMs to make creating videos easy for everyone.
• Work with a team of product managers, machine learning engineers, and software engineers to turn complex AI features into easy-to-use designs.
• Conceptualize and implement a new assisted video creation workflow that leverages AI to interpret and transform data from diverse inputs into rich, time-manipulated video content.
• Lead design thinking or other interactive sessions to explore innovative ways AI can be used to enhance storytelling, focusing on the manipulation of time and narrative flow in video content.
• Conduct your own research with a variety of methods paired with strong decision making skills for when to do research.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on AI-assisted features, ensuring they align with user needs and offer a transformative video creation experience.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in AI-driven design, ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility across all user interactions.

Your profile

• 3+/5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio in launching and scaling digital products, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Ability to handle a diverse range of tasks in a startup environment.
• Shows a deep empathy for users, with a focus on understanding and meeting their needs and balances it with achieving business needs and goals.
• Shows a deep understanding of and passion for the potential of Generative AI and LLMs to revolutionize content creation and storytelling.
• Is adept at working closely with cross-functional teams to bring visionary ideas to life, communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Is enthusiastic about staying at the cutting edge of AI technology, continuously exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies in design and AI.
• Exhibits proficiency in design and prototyping tools, and a willingness to explore new tools and methodologies in the AI space.
• Is experienced in conducting user research, usability testing and hypothesis-driven experimentation, using insights to drive design decisions.
