In December 2022, Origin was acquired by MMGY Global, the world's leading integrated travel and hospitality marketing firm, and rebranded as MMGY Origin. The acquisition brought significant investment and resources while allowing Origin to maintain its unique identity and passion for outdoor storytelling. Founders Danielle Kristmanson and MJ Legault continue to lead the agency as Partner & Executive Creative Director and Partner & Managing Director respectively.
