Our Senior Account Executive Queensland role is focused on a small number of Key and Strategic Accounts, while playing a leadership face for OpenText in the state. Our accounts range from some of Queensland’s largest government bodies and several large commercial sector customers spanning the Financial and Energy market.

In Queensland, our customers are aggressively driving their applications business to the cloud. You will be recently experienced in transforming a traditional Enterprise Software business to the cloud.

  • Balancing this with an ability to listen and take the time in a conversation to really understand what your customers and peers are saying.
  • Displaying an ability to challenge effectively and to make quick, logical and wise decisions that drive positive customer outcomes.
  • Not afraid to fail and on the rare occasions this happens you tend to do so quickly.
  • An individual that can manage very large and complex deals in some of the biggest organisation’s and know how to orchestrate customers, partners and internal teams to drive a successful outcome.
  • Can assess situations quickly are comfortable making decisions and have a tendency to make the right call when making a decision.
  • Persistence is a natural part of yourself and you have a centered inner composure and self-assurance that empowers you to successfully work through complex problems and situations.
  • Competitive by nature, get excited by taking on new challenges and are determined to succeed.
  • Having a unique ability to build deep and meaningful relationships with the most senior executives in the organisation’s you engage with.

Organisational Alignment:

During the first ANZ Leadership Team Meeting (LT), the functionally inclusive group came up with a Vision for our business which included the following statement: In the next five years there will be a focus in ANZ around OpenText solutions in the Cloud. As the Senior Account Executive responsible for our Commercial business, you will be seen as a leader of the Queensland operation for OpenText. This means you will need to work with and demonstrate leadership across many other areas of the business you will engage with, including Solution Consulting, Professional Services, Partner Managers, Customer Renewals, Maintenance, HR, Finance and Revenue Recognition, none of which report to you. You will be an expert matrix leader, getting the best from those around you because they want to work with you.

3. Individual responsibility for collective success.

OpenText’s Queensland operation is not large in number of staff, yet our customer base and opportunity are impressive. It is therefore of critical importance that you maximize your effectiveness and efficacy as well as the team around you within the Queensland market.

It is important that you have focus on your role and quota targets, while also coaching the teams that work with you to maximize their effectiveness to deliver the outstanding outcomes your customers expect. This role is more than selling as you will effectively act as the leader of the Opentext operation in country.
