The Engineering Team:

We deliver innovative products through rapid, continuous development and closely partner with Product, Design, and Marketing from inception to go-live. The products we build help restaurants (from small mom & pops to large enterprise groups) run their businesses and be successful (real people, real businesses…you making a real difference).

The Diner Engagement team is looking for a (mid-level) Software Engineer II who supports software design and can build, and deliver consumer-facing features by collaborating with delivery managers, iOS & android developers, and partner teams. If you embrace engineering best practices and can deliver exceptional quality in a dynamic, agile environment, we'd like to hear from you! Bonus points if you love restaurants too.

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with product managers, designers, and other developers to build and ship features
  • Adapt and iterate quickly based on user feedback and product metrics
  • Work on software architecture, code review, bug resolution, build and monitoring devops
  • Help shape our technology stack which is always evolving and improving
  • Build our in-house component library with your teammates
  • Share our passion for quality in everything we do: products, visual designs and UX, software design, code, builds, shipping, and satisfying customers

Please apply if:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in the design and development of software
  • 5+ years of proven ability with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Track record of building products with technologies we use including React, Redux, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL
  • Strong testing skills including React-Testing-library, Jest, Cypress
  • Experience with Webpack, ESbuild, ESLint, Prettier, Docker
  • Knowledge of Web Performance and Accessibility
  • Proficient in version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration
  • Strong understanding of software development workflows, processes, and best practices

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this remote Canada based role is $119,000-$133,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: annual cash bonus, equity grant; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
