Position Summary

Okendo is hiring a Product Designer with strong skills in both UI and UX, a sharp eye for detail, and a user-first mindset. You’ll play a key role in designing intuitive, beautiful, and effective product experiences across all products on our platform (Reviews, Loyalty, Referrals, Quizzes, and Surveys). This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers — from concept to implementation.
You’ll also stand out if you bring some frontend engineering capability, especially in bridging the gap between design and development.

How you'll create impact:

  • Design polished, user-friendly interfaces that align with Okendo’s design system and brand
  • Lead and execute end-to-end design processes: discovery, research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and handoff
  • Conduct user testing and integrate feedback into product decisions
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure high-quality implementation of your designs
  • Help evolve and scale our design systems, patterns, and processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across product, engineering, marketing, and customer success
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, design excellence, and user empathy

What we need from you:

  • 3–7+ years of experience in a UI/UX design role (preferably in SaaS or tech)
  • Based in Australia with the right to work in Australia indefinitely and without sponsorship.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work
  • Experience working with design systems (we use Figma)
  • Comfortable collaborating with engineers; bonus if you can contribute to frontend development (React, HTML/CSS, Tailwind, etc.)
  • Familiarity with usability testing and UX research methods
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Excellent market research skills and keen understanding of how visual layouts affect user experiences
  • Understanding of visual hierarchy creation
  • Experience working with content management systems, such as WordPress
  • BSc/MSc in Product Design, Computer Science, or otherrelevant field
Previous expeirence with Shopify or e-Commerce
