Our ideal candidates must be able to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract.
This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extension based on the project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop: Create scalable and robust systems by leveraging both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Telecom Systems Expert: Work with telecommunications systems to enhance functionality and performance.
- Software Architecture: Design software architecture that meets business and technical requirements.
- UI/UX Principles: Apply your understanding of UI/UX principles to create intuitive user interfaces.
- API Gateway Management: Manage API gateways to ensure seamless integration and communication between services.
- Data Transformation: Implement data transformation processes to support system integration needs.
- Third-Party Integrations: Collaborate with various third-party services to enhance system capabilities.
Documentation Required for this position
• Updated CV highlighting telecom/digital transformation experience
• Professional certifications such as AWS, PMI, ITIL
• Portfolio of previous projects
• References from the telecom industry
Requirements
- 5+ Experience in Telecom/Digital Transformation Projects: Proven track record in relevant projects is non-negotiable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in both front-end (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Business Process Modelling: Proficiency in modeling tools and techniques to visualize processes effectively.
- BSS Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Business Support Systems is essential for this role.
- Agile Methodologies: Understanding of agile practices and frameworks to facilitate project delivery.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English; proficiency in French, Swahili, or Portuguese is an advantage.
