Are you ready to take your career to the next level? we are seeking a passionate and skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on transformative cloud projects that shape the future of telecommunications across Africa.
Our ideal candidates must be able to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract.
This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extension based on the project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Design: Architect and implement robust cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS to meet business needs.
- Security Best Practices: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in all cloud operations.
- Cloud Migration Expertise: Lead cloud migration efforts, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze and implement strategies for cost-effective cloud resource management.
- API Gateway Management: Manage API gateways to facilitate efficient communication between services.
- Data Transformation: Oversee data transformation processes to support integration with various systems.
- Third-Party Integrations: Collaborate with multiple third-party services to enhance system capabilities.
Documentation Required for this position
• Updated CV highlighting telecom/digital transformation experience
• Professional certifications such as AWS, PMI, ITIL
• Portfolio of previous projects
• References from the telecom industry
Requirements
- AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect or DevOps certifications are essential.
- 5+ Experience in Telecom/Digital Transformation Projects: Proven track record in relevant projects is non-negotiable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Business Process Modelling: Proficiency in modeling tools and techniques.
- BSS Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with Business Support Systems is essential.
- Agile Methodologies: Understanding of agile practices and frameworks to facilitate project delivery.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel 50% of the time to countries such as Uganda, Rwanda, DRC, Angola, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. A valid passport is required for the contract.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in English; proficiency in French, Swahili, or Portuguese is an advantage.
