About the Role
Reporting to the global COO, the IT Manager is an experienced project manager, responsible for IT planning, management, and execution to support our systems to manage our internal operations, as well as our many accelerator programs. The IT Manager is proactive, has the foresight to predict challenges to systems, and has strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate knows how to troubleshoot IT systems and collaborate with internal stakeholders and does not need a lot of direction or support.
Role and Responsibilities:
Departmental Management
- Provide vision and management of all IT delivery and IT strategy.
- Manage IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems, infrastructure, and services to reduce redundancies and cost.
- Monitor and further develop the existing IT infrastructure including a new cloud based systems and its processes.
- Analyze business requirements by working closely with COO across the business to provide competent solutions.
- Work closely with HR to ensure HR systems are maintained, supported, and manage the asset onboarding and offboarding process for all employees.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on IT related issues.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
- Plan and execute technological changes effectively considering the business output requirements and provide training if necessary.
- Manage IT Software Licensing requirements.
- Monitor and maintain IT assets and information security.
- Manage annual IT Budget ensuring budgets are adhered to ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Ensure delivery of hardware, software and all other IT equipment for business requirements in a timely manner.
- Creation of executive reports and adhoc reports as required.
- Create or modify IT policies & guidelines in to align it with the business processes.
Management
- Take responsibility for daily IT requirements across the company.
- People management of employed technicians or 3rd party IT Infrastructure and support vendors.
- Direct, coach and support IT technicians in daily tasks or escalated troubleshooting.
- Manage and maintain positive working relationships with IT Service Providers ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Manage and coordinate with external providers for support, testing and project managing upgrades.
- Manage and do hands on technical troubleshooting as required.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar IT Manager/ IT Supervisor.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software cloud based systems.
- Strong working knowledge with Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, Zendesk, Asana.
- Experience working with hardware & software IT Asset Management
- Experience of developing a high performing team from recruitment to investing in their capability, motivation, and support.
- Fluent English language, both verbal and written.
