(Front End) Full Stack Developer - Mid Level

We are seeking a Mid-Level Full Stack Developer (Frontend Emphasis, React.js) to support the development and sustainment of a mission-critical command and control system for the Mobility Air Force.

Your work will focus on building modern single-page applications using React.js and TypeScript, improving user experience, and integrating with secure backend APIs. While you will contribute across the stack, your primary focus will be implementing frontend features, developing reusable components, and supporting performance improvements.

You will collaborate closely with backend developers and team members in an Agile environment to deliver reliable and scalable applications.

What you will do

Develop, test, and maintain single-page applications using React.js and TypeScript

Build reusable UI components, forms, and interactive features aligned with mission workflows

Integrate frontend applications with backend services and RESTful APIs

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established standards

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality

Support performance improvements using techniques such as lazy loading and efficient rendering

Assist in implementing secure frontend practices (token handling, input validation, etc.)

Contribute to UI testing using unit, integration, or end-to-end testing frameworks

Troubleshoot and resolve UI bugs and performance issues

Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product owners to deliver features

What we like to see

Proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript development

Experience with state management tools (e.g., Context API, Redux, Zustand, or similar)

Familiarity with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar

Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with backend teams

Understanding of responsive design and modern UI best practices

Exposure to frontend performance optimization techniques

Basic understanding of accessibility standards

Experience working in Agile development environments

You should be familiar with

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

React.js and component-based architecture

Frontend testing tools such as Jest or React Testing Library

RESTful API integration

Basic security concepts for frontend applications

Version control systems such as Git

CI/CD concepts and workflows

Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years of software development with frontend focus
• Experience building and maintaining React-based applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain or maintain a government security clearance, socandidatesmustbeU.S.citizensandeligibleforworkwithout a visa sponsorship.
• Prior DoD or federal experience is strongly preferred.
