Neon is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple teams, define technical vision, and ensure high-quality delivery of complex products. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in hyper-growth environments, managing managers, and developing technical leaders.

Requirements

Extensive experience leading engineering organizations in hyper-growth environments (scale-ups) or large financial institutions
Proven track record in managing managers and developing technical leaders across multiple teams
Deep technical knowledge in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
Experience building critical financial systems, dealing with high competition, data consistency, and compliance requirements
Impatient person who prefers building solutions over just managing ready-made processes
Ability to navigate ambiguous scenarios with clarity and pragmatism
Excellent communication skills to translate technical challenges into business opportunities for senior stakeholders
